TAOS, N.M. (KRQE) - The Taos County Sheriff's Office is soliciting the public's help in finding a man they say may be involved in the weekend shooting death of two local men.

A bulletin from the department named 18-year-old Jose F. Rivera as their primary suspect in the Monday afternoon murders of 17-year-old Sefran Luján of Ranchos and 19-year-old Chayane (aka Andres) Dominguez-Aragón of El Prado.

Undersheriff Ed Romero said Tuesday that a deputy with the department was driving home on State Road 518 around 4:14 p.m. when he noticed a car pulled off on the forest road, facing the highway with its lights on.

The two deceased men were found in the idling vehicle, both shot in the back of the head. Romero added that alcohol was present at the scene, but that it was yet unknown how much of a role alcohol played in the killing.
