Suspect in fatal beating indicted

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The man accused of badly beating a man to death at an Albuquerque motel has been indicted on for murder and rape.

Police say 21-year-old Jaime Vigil was arguing with Robert Sanchez at the Imperial Inn near Central and I-25 late last month.  Vigil admitted to beating Sanchez.

Sources told KRQE News 13 that Vigil may have eaten part of the victim’s face and according to the indictment he also raped Sanchez.

Vigil was found in the parking lot with blood on his face and hands.
