ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A man is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon after stabbing his girlfriend in northeast Albuquerque Wednesday morning.

Just after eight, police were called to a house in the 100 block of Cardenas on a domestic dispute.
When they arrived, they found a woman had allegedly been stabbed by 20-year-old Eddie Chavez.
After the incident, police say Chavez fled.
They were able to catch him soon after and take him into custody.
The woman was hospitalized but should be okay.
