Suspect caught after high-speed chase

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The suspect in an Albuquerque purse snatching is finally in jail, after a lengthy high-speed chase that ended on the Zia Pueblo.

The incident began Saturday morning in a Wal-Mart parking lot on the 10,000 block of Coors Bypass NW.

There, the suspect allegedly stole the victim's purse.

Police started chasing the suspect on Highway 528 through Rio Rancho and then continue their pursuit on Highway 550.

At the time, the suspect was reportedly driving more than 100 miles per hour.

He was eventually arrested after abandoning his vehicle on the Zia Pueblo and running away on foot.
