Supreme Court upholds murder conviction

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The state Supreme Court has upheld the murder conviction of a man whose conviction they overturned once before.

Robert Macias, 37, was convicted in 2007 for the shooting death of Wilfred Salas.

Two years later, the state Supreme Court overturned the conviction saying the judge in the case made a mistake.

A second trial resulted in a second conviction against Macias in 2011, but he fought that conviction, too.

This time the Supreme Court ruled against him.

He's now serving a life sentence for first degree murder.
