ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - State police have now confirmed a murder plot against pop star Justin Bieber KRQE News 13 reported earlier this week.
  
Police say convicted killer Dana Martin recruited Mark Staake and his nephew Tanner Ruane, both from Albuquerque, to kill two of martin's acquaintances and Bieber.
    
Staake and Ruane were arrested before they could take any action.
   
The news spread Wednesday and was featured on entertainment sites like TMZ and E! Online.
    
There were also headlines on the Los Angeles Times, CBS News, Huffington Post and USA Today.
    
It was also one of the top stories on Digg.com, a site that compiles the most popular stories on the internet.
