SANTA FE (KRQE) - Investigators say they have caught two men on the state Department of Corrections Top 10 list of probationers and parolees who have gone missing.
On Thursday corrections officers, U.S. marshals and Santa Fe County sheriff's deputies arrested Joe Marquez at a home outside Santa Fe.
He absconded in 2008 while on supervised after serving time for aggravated assault, according to the Corrections Department. He was arrested without incident.
Also on Thursday corrections investigators and the Las Cruces Police Department Gang Unit caught up Roman Monares in Las Cruces.
He was on supervision on convictions for armed robbery and aggravated assault when he dropped out of sight in July, corrections officials said.
Officers staked out a home in Las Cruces and captured Monares without trouble when he walked up to the house.
