Spicy Chihuahua, Burrito, recovering

SANTA FE (KRQE) -
Burrito the Chihuahua has a spicy personality and sweet demeanor despite what he's gone through.
Someone found the three pound pup covered in puncture wounds (video warning: wounds are graphic).
“Something caused a lot of trauma - and skin loss and wounds across his entire body” said Dr. Jennifer Stekette of the Santa Fe humane.
At first vets suspected another animal had tried to take a bite out of the little guy but then they realized some wounds were older than others.
The Chihuahua is now recovering at the Santa Fe Animal Humane Shelter and investigators are still trying to figure out if someone did this to him.
Burrito should be up for adoption once he is well.
