DENVER CITY, Texas (KRQE) - People riding four-wheelers Sunday found a missing Texas woman on a remote canyon road about 10 miles from Carlsbad.

The Denver City, Texas, Police Department reported Julia McCullough was taken to Carlsbad Medical Center for treatment of dehydration and hypothermia. She has since been reunited with her family.

McCullough left Hobbs on March 18 headed to Denver City but never arrived. She reportedly was seen later that day in a rural area about 50 miles southwest of Denver City.

McCullough had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and had been off her medication for some time, according to police. It is likely she was disoriented when she disappeared, police said at the time.
