ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The son of the Albuquerque teacher murdered in 2009 is scheduled to be in court Tuesday, facing charges for stealing his mother’s credit cards.
In May of 2009 Ellen Roth was reported missing, four months later her body was found in a shallow grave in Jemez Springs.
Roth had been strangled to death.
At the time her son, Bryan Roth, was in jail for stealing Roth’s credit cards.
Three of Roth’s friends and his wife Cathleen, were charged in his mother’s murder.
James Johnson and Christopher Donovan are currently serving time in prison for Roth’s murder. Another suspect, Bella Gonzales , agreed to testify and only got probation.
Cathleen Roth is still awaiting a competency hearing.
Bryan Roth originally faced 23 charges for stealing his mother’s credit cards, but will be sentenced Wednesday for only one charge of identity theft.
