ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The Albuquerque man stabbed by his son last week has died.
His son, 21-year-old Andrew Coppler, has been charged with murder.
It happened at a house near 12th Street and Candelaria.
Police say Andrew and his father, Keith Coppler, were grilling fish in the backyard , when they started arguing.
APD says Andrew first slashed his father with a steak knife, the father then started swinging a machete, the son put him in a choke hold and strangled him.
Keith Coppler died over the weekend.
Andrew was arrested Monday
