Seven inmates indicted at NM jail

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Officials say seven men were indicted on charges that they were involved in a melee over hair clippers at the Dona Ana County Detention Center.
The Las Cruces Sun News reports that the men were indicted on assault, escape and other charges for the disturbance at the end of September.
No injuries were reported.
About a dozen inmates who were in one pod of the jail and were given the clippers to cut their hair had refused to give back the shears and started a ruckus, at one point breaking windows and setting a trash can on fire.
