ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Police are looking for a serial robber who uses a handgun during his robberies.
The first robbery took place on June 17 at 5 p.m., when the suspect entered a Blake's Lotaburger at Atrisco Drive and Central Avenue SW. He was armed with a handgun.
Less than a week later on June 23, he struck again. This time at 3 p.m. He went into New Mexico Title Loans on Central Avenue. he was wearing the same thing from the Blake's robbery. He fired his handgun inside the business. He also carjacked a car as he left the business. It was found a few blocks away. The subject stole nearly $2,500.
He waited over a month to strike again. On July 26, he entered The Dollar General on Central Avenue at 2:30 p.m. This time, he had an accomplice. During the incident, the suspect struck the clerk in the head with his handgun, which injured him. The witnesses this time caught part of the license plate on the red Camry the suspects drove off in.
Two days later at 1:30 p.m., the suspect hit again. He robbed the National Pay Day loans on Menual Boulevard.
The main suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his 50s, smaller build. He was wearing a straw hat and an old flannel shirt during the first two robberies. He was also seen wearing a blue bandana and sunglasses.
