ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A car rolled over on University Avenue trapping the driver Friday morning while a head-on crash involving a school bus caused no injuries, police reported.
And late Thursday night a Rail Runner train that left Santa Fe after the burning of Zozobra hit an unoccupied car parked on the tracks at Alameda Boulevard in Albuquerque.
The rollover south of Rio Bravo Boulevard SE about 8:30 a.m. left the driver with serious injuries. Additional details were not immediately available from the Albuquerque Police Department.
About an hour earlier three students headed for Taylor Middle School were shaken up but not injured when their bus struck two cars head-on. The collision happened at 4th Street NW and Ortega Road.
The Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office is investigating the collision.
New Mexico State Police are working to find out who left a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am parked on the tracks in front of a Rail Runner Express train late Thursday night. None of the 600 passengers were injured although some said they were shaken up by the sudden stop.
