ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A woman who claims she is a witch was in court Thursday asking a judge to reduce her prison time for the murder of a man she called a "sacrifice."
At noon the hearing was still underway with a psychologist testifying in District Court in Albuquerque
A short time later the judge denied the motion for a reduced sentence.
Angela Sanford was sentenced last year for the murder of Joel Leyva after she stabbed him to death with a Wiccan dagger in the Sandia Mountains foothills.
A judge originally sentenced her to 20 years behind bars, the maximum under her plea agreement.
