ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) -
Police say a man out for revenge may have targeted the wrong man and now needs a lot of money to get out of jail.
Marcos Cordova faced a judge Sunday on attempted murder charges.
The criminal complaint says Cordova was behind a ruthless shooting at a southwest Albuquerque home last year where police found a trail of bullet casings from the street to the front door.
The man who was shot survived telling police he was not the man who broke into Cordova's home, adding that it might have been his brother.
After the shooting the complaint says Cordova called the victim twice, once saying "how did you like my Christmas present".
In court Sunday Cordova questioned his $50,000 cash only bond; the judge responded saying the allegations against him are very serious.
