TUCUMCARI, N.M. (KRQE) - The man arrested while driving a missing woman's car led criminal investigators to her remains in rural Quay County, New Mexico State Police said Tuesday.
Frank Keller has admitted being involved in the death of Kimberly Draman but has not been charged, State Police Lt. Robert McDonald said in a statement released to the news media late Tuesday morning.
During an interview with investigators on Friday, Keller agreed to show them where to find the body near the intersection of U.S. Highway 54 and County Road AC about 12 miles northeast of Tucumcari, McDonald added.
The Office of the Medical investigator confirmed the identity of the remains on Monday but has not released a cause of death.
Draman, 53, was last seen in Tucumcari on Sept. 13 and was with Keller, according to police. Five days later Keller, 45, was picked up in Las Vegas, Nev., driving Draman's car.
He is being held for violating his conditions of release on a methamphetamine charge from Quay County pending the filing of additional charges.
