ALBUQURQUE (KRQE) - Albuquerque police say a thief took the bait and then took things too far with nurses at a local hospital.

Police say 53-year-old Leonard Bruso swiped an item from a bait car. The item had a tracking device and they followed it straight to his house.

Investigators found the hot goods sitting on his kitchen table.

Bruso then told police he took the items from the car and was keeping it safe until he could find its owner.

That's when he allegedly started having chest pains and was taken to the UNMH and became violent with the nurses.

Police say he was cursing at them and being aggressive.

He was in court Saturday, charged with auto burglary.
