Police say sex-crime suspect a fugitive

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - An man suspected of a sex crime has eluded police and is now the subject of a reward of up to $1,000 offered by Albuquerque Metro Crime Stoppers.

Stanley Romero, 40, is wanted on a charge of criminal sexual contact.  Details of his alleged crime were not released.

Romero is 5 feet 8 inches tall, weights 170 pounds and has gray hair and green eyes.  He has the name "Romero" tattooed on his chest.

Anyone with information on Nichols' whereabouts can contact Crime Stoppers at 843-STOP (843-7867) or visit the Crime Stoppers website . Tipsters do not have to give their names and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
