Albuquerque police blocked several residential streets in a northwest neighborhood Friday afternoon as officers dealt with a man barricaded in a house.

Initial reports indicate the man may be suicidal and armed.

The police perimeter includes streets in the area of Chesapeake Road NW and Roanoke Avenue in Taylor Ranch.

The incident began at about 2:30 p.m. and by early Friday evening had not been resolved.

(Update:  Police report the man was taken into custody without injury shortly before 9 p.m.)
