ALBQUEURQUE (KRQE) - The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating a shooting near the intersection of Chama and Bell in southeast Albuquerque that has left one dead.
The shooting occurred before 3 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
Police say a man was shot at least twice, was rushed to the hospital where he later died.
APS placed a lockdown at Van Buren Middle School and changed it to a shelter in place for several hours Wednesday.
The lockdown and shelter in place have since been lifted.
Police are investigating the shooting as a homicide.
