ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - An Albuquerque credit union was forced to shut down after being pelted with rocks.
Police were called to the Rio Grande Credit Union Saturday on the 1200 block of 4th Street. When they arrived they observed 10 broken windows. A man outside told officers he threw softball sized rocks at the building because the voices inside his head told him to do it.
Estanislao Cala, 43, appeared in court Sunday. He's charged with criminal damage to property and is still behind bars.
Bank employees told police they didn't know what was going on.
A sign posted on the front door is directing customers to another branch.
