ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - New Mexico state police are now investigating the death one of Tucumcari’s city commissioners, who was shot and killed this weekend.
Daniel Lopez got shot Saturday night and died at a hospital Sunday morning.
The Clovis News Herald says police are not searching for a shooter, but are trying to learn more about what happened.
Lopez was elected to the city commission back in March and used to be Tucumcari’s police chief and a captain with state police too.
