ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Alcohol may have played a role in a Saturday evening crash that sent an Albuquerque police officer and two others to the hospital.
The officer crashed his police cruiser into another car. Police said the driver in the other car admitted to consuming alcohol.
The accident happened Saturday night near Dakota and Zuni SE.
The officer was traveling westbound on Zuni when a vehicle headed southbound on Dakota ran a stop sign and the two cars collided, according to police.
Three people, including the officer, were taken away in an ambulance. No one was seriously hurt.
