ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Albuquerque police arrested Francisco Gonzalez Jr., 51, who is accused of robbing a New Mexico Bank & Trust on Louisiana Boulevard at 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Gonzalez is from El Paso.
Gonzalez allegedly gave a teller a note that demanded money and then left with an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency. According to witnesses, he did not display a weapon.
Police later pulled Gonzalez's car over on the Pan American Freeway near the Albuquerque Trade Center. He was arrested without incident.
Gonzalez faces one count of bank robbery. He is scheduled to have an initial appearance before a U.S. Magistrate on Wednesday.
