ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A Rio Rancho man who said he just wanted to give a girl a purse has been busted in an online sex sting.

Walter Reese, 40, thought the person he was chatting with online was a 15-year-old girl, according to a criminal complaint.

Instead he was exchanging messages with an undercover detective.

Reese was sending the detective inappropriate text messages, and when the detective said "my time is not cheap," Reese agreed to provide a designer purse in exchange for sex, the complaint alleges.

When Reese showed up for the arranged meeting, police say he claimed he just wanted to give the girl a purse.

He's charged with sexual exploitation of a child by prostitution and at last report remained in the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Detention Center under a $25,000 bond.
