ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - APD officials say an officer has been placed on leave after allegedly initiating an altercation between two neighbors.
Officers responded to Marquette in northeast Albuquerque Sunday after they were advised that a man had been in a fight with his neighbor.
The man says Officer Gregory Donfrio encouraged the two to fight in order to settle a dispute.
Officials say the man was transported to the hospital with minor injuries and has since been released.
APD immediately placed Donfrio on administrative leave pending in internal investigation.
Donfrio has been with APD since January 2006.
