ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Federal prosecutors will not seek the death penalty for the man accused of killing two women after robbing an Albuquerque bank in April 2010.

Jeremiah Jackson is charged with robbing a New Mexico Bank and Trust in April, then slamming into a car at Coors Boulevard and Quail Road during a police chase. The two people in the car he allegedly hit, Janice Flores and Kimberly Aragon-Nunez, were killed.

Jackson pleaded not guilty. According to court documents, Jackson's lawyers said the justice department told them they will not seek the death penalty.
