FARMINGTON, N.M. (AP) - A Shiprock teenager has died after being run over by a vehicle
in a Farmington parking lot.
Farmington police say they received a call Saturday night
about someone being hit by a vehicle in the parking lot of Target.
Officers found 17-year-old Darius Lee had been run over by a
pickup truck.
The teen was taken to San Juan Regional Medical Center, where
he died.
Police say the truck's driver, 21-year-old Adrian Gonzales of
Farmington, got into an argument with Lee and another person in the
parking lot.
Investigators say Lee tried to hit Gonzales through the open
driver's window, but Gonzales accelerated, and Lee was run over by
the truck's rear dual wheels.
