ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) - Less than a day after being launched, the Albuquerque Police Department's night detective squad has its first big success.

One of Albuquerque's most-wanted criminals was arrested because of information discovered by the newly commissioned night squad.

Just hours after Mayor Richard Berry unveiled the new unit, the night-side officers went looking for Reyanna Atencio.

On Thursday, Atencio was caught in Raton. The night squad obtained information that Atencio would be in Raton with her new boyfriend. They passed the information along to the U.S. Marshals Service and officers with state Probation and Parole.

Agents with U.S. Marshals arrested Atencio around noon on Thursday.

Atencio, 24, is wanted on five felony burglary warrants.

The APD featured her mugshot in February's most wanted property crime offenders.

Atencio is the 36th arrest made from the list since the department first began publicizing it.
