ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - UNM student and murder victim, Fernando Enriquez, was seen with the two men now charged with his murder the day of his disappearance.
Enriquez was reported missing by his sister on November 10th after she found his Albuquerque apartment unlocked and his credit cards missing. His body was found in a cave in El Malpais National Monument on December 1st.
Bryce Franklin, 20, and Clifford Bearden, 22, have been charged with Enriquez's murder.
KRQE News 13 has now learned that Enriquez was seen on surveillance video shopping at an Albuquerque WalMart, the morning of October 31, 2012, the day he disappeared. he bought several high value items including electronics.
Investigators later recovered surveillance video showing Franklin and Bearden using Enriquez's credit card at a Grants WalMart days later.
Investigators have said that Enriquez knew Franklin and Bearden and that money appears to be the motive in the murder, they have released few other details.
They do confirm that they are seeking other people for questioning in the case.
Franklin's mother Sandy has already been linked to the crime. She was arrested for conspiracy to tamper with evidence, a result of the evidence recovered from her home in San Rafael.
Franklin and Bearden remain in the Cibola County Detention center charged with an open count of murder.
