CLOVIS, N.M. (KRQE) - Accused child killer Noe Torres asked a judge to let him remain in the Curry County jail despite being attacked there last week.
But the judge on Monday refused his request citing significant problems at the troubled jail.
Torres was allegedly part of a gang that shot into a Clovis apartment in 2005.
Police believe the target was an older brother of 10-year-old Carlos Perez, but the sleeping child was killed instead.
On Thursday another jail inmate, Richard Silva, who claims to be Perez's cousin, attacked Torres as he was waiting for a court hearing.
