ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Prosecutors say they’re having trouble proving the identity of a bank robber who struck an Albuquerque bank Saturday.
Surveillance video captured clear pictures of the suspect robbing the Bank of Albuquerque on Coors and Sequoia.
Soon after KRQE News 13 first aired the photos, an Albuquerque police officer thought she recognized the robber as 39-year-old Anastacio Amador, someone she'd talked to on an unrelated matter not too long before the holdup.
Amador, who has been arrested dozens of times in the past, was quickly arrested.
Prosecutors have asked that charged be dropped because they need more time to confirm that the robbery suspect is in fact Amador.
