ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The Albuquerque woman accused of letting her underage son to drink alcohol and then get behind the wheel was in court Friday.

Lolita Kellywood, 40, is charged with child abuse and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Police found Kellywood and her two sons in a car that had crashed near Carlisle and Lomas.

One of Kellywood’s sons told police that his mom let him take three shots of vodka and then let him drive her and his 15-year-old brother around,

When given a breath test the boy blew below the legal limit, a 0.08, but admitted to also taking drugs.

The boy was arrested for DWI.

On Friday a judge set Kellywood’s bond at $1,000 cash surety, citing her lack of criminal history.

As of Friday afternoon Kellywood is still in custody at MDC.
