Missing boy's dad ducks TV polygraph

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The parents of missing Colorado teen Dylan Redwine went on the "Dr. Phil" program again Wednesday to talk about their son's disappearance.

As the search continues for the missing boy his parents continue pointing the finger at each other.

On Wednesday Mark Redwine hoped to take suspicion off of himself and agreed to a polygraph test, but it never happened.

Mark Redwine told Dr. Phil he would take the test to prove he had nothing to do with the disappearance of his son Dylan in November.  The boy was on a court-approved visit with father at his home at Vallecito Lake northeast of Durango, Colo., when he disappeared.

Some bold accusations came from his ex-wife and his older son.

"I think that Mark has something to do with it," Elaine Redwine said.  "He either has him hidden out somewhere or he disposed...  I strongly think he's involved. He hasn't done a single thing since Dylan has been gone."

"I do believe that Mark took Dylan to punish my mom and hurt her," added Corey Redwine, Dylan's brother.  "There has been two previous times where he kidnapped me and Dylan he took us to a ghetto hotel in Denver.  He took us to his boss' house.  Both those times I did feel like we were being kidnapped."

Mark answered back

"I am not trying to get away with anything.  I'm not involved in this no matter how it comes across to you or anybody else," he said.  "I have a hard time dealing with this.  I struggle every day, and for months now I have Corey and Elaine pointing finger at me."

But when it came time for the polygraph test, Mark asked for a day delay.  Then the next morning, just when the test was getting started, Mark said he didn't feel well, an automatic disqualifier.

Dr. Phil pleaded with him again hours later.

"You should be doing back flips to do this test," Dr. Phil McGraw said.  "You were the last one to have seen your son before he disappeared."

Mark Redwine told McGraw he doesn't trust the polygraph process.

He says he was polygraphed by authorities shortly after Dylan's disappearance.  He was told he failed but then later was informed the person who administered the test wasn't qualified.

As for the search for Dylan, authorities say they continue to follow leads.

A K-9 search team is still in the Vallecito area looking.  Cadaver dogs have hit on a point at Vallecito Lake several times, but so far they have not lead to Dylan.
