ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A Metro Detention Center guard caught on surveillance cameras beating an inmate has pleaded guilty in the case.
Demetrio Gonzales entered the plea Wednesday in court.
Last December surveillance cameras captured him slamming a suspect against a wall.
Investigators say he repeatedly hit the suspect who was being booked on DWI charges.
Gonzales faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
Two other guards also charged in the beating will be tired in January.
