ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Albuquerque vice detectives raided massage parlors for offering a whole lot more than massages Monday.

People who work near a massage parlor on Menaul near San Mateo say what was happening there was deeply troubling.

When APD undercover vice cops whent into Genuine Chinese Massage Monday afternoon, one of the employees offered the officer more than what was advertised.

"She offered to perform a sexual act for $40.00," the officer said.

People who work nearby say the employees and the customers changed constantly.

"Mostly rich people…I mean, rich men,” said Kayla Schell who works at the gym next door. “I never see any women go in there ever, unless it's an employee."

Police arrested Chun Zhao for prostitution and not having a license as a massage therapist.

KRQE News 13 tried to speak to the owners of Genuine Chinese massage but they took off.

Just an hour before that arrest police hit another massage parlor on San Pedro across from Coronado.

Detectives say one of the women offered to perform a sex act for $20.00. They arrested Jie Chen-Olson for prostitution and the owner, Bohong Chang, was also arrested for not being a licensed massage therapist.

Police say there are parlors like this all over Albuquerque, and many are legitimate businesses. However officers say a major concern is that some of the businesses may be involved in human trafficking.
