SILVER CITY, N.M. (KRQE) - According to George Zsoka with the Grant County District Attorney's Office, Thomas Manning's murder hearing -- originally scheduled for Friday, Jan. 14 -- was canceled.
Manning, 16, faces an open count of murder in the death of Jeffrey Manning, his father. He is accused of shooting his father on Nov. 14 while the two were hunting in the Gila National Forest. The hearing was set in the Silver City Magistrate Court.
Manning is being held in the Luna County Detention Center on $500,000 bond.
