RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) - A Rio Rancho man was arrested, after police say he threatened them and his family with a medieval weapon.
Police say they responded to Charles Cook's house because of a report of domestic violence.
When they got there they say Cook came out with a halberd, similar to this one and threatened them.
Officers shot Cook twice with a beanbag gun and took him into custody.
Police say Cook had been drinking.
