SANTA FE (KRQE) - State police confirm the elderly man shot by a Santa Fe police officer early Monday, did have a gun.
A report says Officer Charles Laramie was responding to a home alarm when he got into some sort of confrontation with 77-year-old Robert Dominguez.
Dominguez is a former Santa Fe cop who lives in the area, and is a caretaker for several houses.
Neighbors think he was also checking the alarm.
