ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A man is out of jail Monday after police say he shot a 13-year-old boy and tied him up with zip-ties. The man told investigators the boy was trying to steal a truck.
On Saturday Michael Zamora called police to his home on Sawgrass Northwest saying the teen was tied up and shot in the shoulder.
Zamora said his gun accidentally went off when he was confronting the teen, who he said was trying to steal his truck. The teen claims he was just hiding from his friends.
Officers arrested Zamora and charged him with aggravated battery and false imprisonment.
