SANTA FE (KRQE) - A former executive accused of s camming Santa Fe's Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center out of millions has pleaded guilty Wednesday.
Richard Crabtree admitted to two counts of fraud and one count of conspiracy to commit fraud.
As the one-time chief operating officer of the Santa Fe hospital, Crabtree steered lucrative contracts to an outside company for work that had already been done, or was never done.
Crabtree got five years supervised probation, but if he messes up he could face up to 21 years in prison.
Another plea hearing for another defendant in the case is set for next month.
