ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A man accused of driving drunk and trying to get cops to shoot him faced a judge Sunday.

Cops say Mares hit two parked cars Friday near Coors and I-40 and then took off, scaled a nearby motel and paced the roof for over an hour.

During that time Mares threatened cops and also tried to get them to shoot him.

Jacob Mares has already bonded out of jail after being arrested Friday night.

On Sunday a judge told him to stay out of trouble.
