CARLSBAD, N.M. (KRQE) - A man took a bad fall, about three stories, after threatening guests at a hotel in Carlsbad.
The Carlsbad Current Argus reports police responded to the Fairfield Inn Friday night after a 39-year-old man threatened guests with a fire extinguisher.
After arming himself with a shard of glass from a broken window, he stood on a third floor window ledge threatening to jump.
He slipped and then fell onto mattresses emergency crews had stacked beneath the window.
The Argus reports the man was taken to a local hospital.
No word on if he will face charges.
Police are looking into if he committed another crime earlier Saturday.
