Police: Man drives drunk & runs over 5

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Police arrested a Gallup man Sunday morning for driving drunk and running over five people outside a northeast Albuquerque bar.

Authorities responded to Graham Central Station at 4770 Montgomery Blvd in Northeast Albuquerque.

Kenniven Betoney, 39,  was allegedly driving a truck through a parking lot, striking, climbing curbs and crashing into pedestrians.

When officers questioned Betoney, he admitted that he had been drinking at bar all night. He also admitted that he had four to five beers within the last two hours before his arrest.

Two were transported to the hospital. No word on their conditions right now.

Kenniven Betoney is charged with two counts of great bodily harm with a vehicle.

Betoney is jailed on a $100,000 cash surety.

Police also said Betoney's wife, Lila James switched seats with him and left the scene.

She' has been booked on numerous charges including DWI.
