ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) - Two Roswell police officers are on paid leave after a man died in their custody.
Police say early Monday morning officers were called to a disorderly subject in an alley on south union.
The man was confrontational and got in a scuffle with the two officers.
Once officers were able to detain the man he collapsed.
The man is identified as 34-year-old Cody Towler.
A team of officers from other departments have been brought in to investigate the incident.
