ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A New Mexico man, who is no professional fighter, apparently took a page out of Mike Tyson’s playbook after he bit a man’s ear off.
Dustin Toledo faced a judge this weekend on aggravated battery charges and damage to property.
A criminal complaint says the 20-year-old and another man got into a fight at the Embassy Suites Friday.
Toledo ran off when hotel managers arrived. The other man stumbled out of an elevator with his right ear bitten off.
Police say Toledo was at the hotel just to pick-up his girlfriend when the couple got into an argument first.
A judge gave him some advice Saturday.
“Do yourself a favor do not have any further contact with your girlfriend, obey all laws, don’t have any contact with the man whose ear you allegedly bit off,” a judge said.
Police do not know why the men were fighting.
The other man was taken to the hospital.
Toledo is still in jail.
