ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Police busted a recycling center employee for allegedly buying stolen copper.

Los Lunas police have been investigating the wise recycling business and for good reason.

Investigators say Daniel Nieto, 23, purchased more than 200 pounds of copper cable from a man suspected of stealing it.

Nearly 60 pounds of the cable was apparently taken from a century link telephone line.

Nieto is charged with receiving stolen property.

The recycling center owner wasn't charged.
