LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) - A Vado man wanted following an alleged attack with a machete has turned himself in to Doña Ana County Sheriff's investigators.
Authorities say 30-year-old Jose Guadalupe Mendoza was taken to the county Detention Center on Monday morning.
Investigators say Mendoza allegedly attacked two people with a machete on April 14.
The say the victim was wounded but not seriously injured.
Mendoza is being held on a $15,000 cash bond on suspicion of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
