ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) -
A 9-year-old girl is without her best friend after burglars broke into her home last Monday stealing all the family's valuables and swiping her 4-week-old puppy.
Now Victoria, a fourth grade student, is offering up every penny of her allowance to get her precious pup back.
"I love her so much because she's like my sister," said Victoria.
She named the pitbull puppy Gemma, but Gemma has been missing for about two weeks now.
"When I came home I saw that my house was robbed," said Victoria who noticed the burglary after school. "I went and checked if my puppies were okay, but when I went and checked, they weren't there."
Her family breeds pitbull-mix puppies. Someone stole all three including the pick of the litter, Gemma, which Victoria was going to keep.
"She's all white and on the side of her she has a black spot," described Victoria. "It's in the shape of a heart and it looks like a broken heart."
The little girl has a plan to try and get her pet back.
"I'm going to put together my allowance and money and whoever finds it is going to get all of my money, all I've got," Victoria said.
The puppy is worth about $2,500 and the family thinks whoever stole her might know that and try to sell her for some quick cash. They were able to recover the two other pups, but not their pet.
Victoria has a final plea for anyone who might know where she is.
"If you could please help me, I would be so happy for you to do that for me," Victoria said.
